My Eternal Journal was created to provide an avenue for loved ones to stay connected today and plan for tomorrow.
The Journaling section is used to stay in touch with family and friends today. It allows you to create your own centralized life link where loved ones can come together virtually through:
- An interactive online journal (which includes an overall Journal home page) that can be used as a message board or newsletter to keep loved ones updated or to share stories, recipes, etc. password protected messages, uploaded videos and photos. For example, you could use it as a “message board” to provide daily updates about a loved one who is very ill. Or, it can be used by a loved one overseas, or a first year college student wanting to keep his/her family updated.
- A message section which allows you to create messages for loved ones. You can make them more personalized by password protecting them.
The Advance Planning Journal is like creating a personal time capsule or virtual safe deposit box for loved ones to access later on. In this section, you can:
- Create advance messages for loved ones. These messages could be used to mend a broken relationship, provide life advice to your child, or to celebrate a key life event such as a wedding day or a first born. Loved ones will cherish these memories and messages for years to come.
- Document your legacy through life stories, recipes, family memories, share favorite photos, etc.
- Document final wishes, who to notify, provide instructions to supplement your Will, organize your assets and much more.
Any one who has lost someone knows that yesterdays really do matter! Create messages and record memories that will last for years to come!
Once you subscribe, you can begin immediately capturing family memories and creating messages for loved ones. Edit your journal as often as you wish. Friends and family can access your journal from anywhere in the world at any time.
Here are just a few examples of how you can use My Eternal Journal:
- If you are away from the ones you love, create daily messages or love notes to keep your hearts warm.
- Create password protected messages to celebrate a life event of a loved one. These can be messages to celebrate life events today or advance messages to celebrate life events in case you are no longer here (such as a wedding day or first born).
- This can be done by uploading a video or voice message or simply by typing and saving a message within your Journal. Another option would be scanning and uploading handwritten messages to your Journal.
- Create advance messages to provide words of wisdom and encouragement once you’ve passed away. Sometimes, the best counseling that a person can receive is inspirational messages and words of wisdom from loved ones … often times these messages bring healing and comfort, are cherished for a lifetime, and can be passed along to generations to come.
- Record a heartfelt message to mend a broken relationship.
- Capture family memories.
- Document favorite recipes, family photos and stories that can be passed on for generations to come.
- Bequeath a favorite piece of jewelry (even if you just purchased it today).**
- Document final wishes so that upon your passing loved ones can reflect on your life instead of making quick decisions that they might regret later or which could lead to bickering among family.
(Typically, a family has only three days to make all final arrangements – music, contacts, funeral programs, service content, photo slide presentations, and all other funeral details.)
- Make things easier on your loved ones and ensure no hurt feelings by providing a contact list of who should be notified upon your passing.
- Account for your assets* so that your valuables will not be mistakenly placed in the next yard sale.
- And much more ...
