Question: Once I create My Eternal Journal, does it replace my Will and other legal documents?
Answer: No. The contents of your My Eternal Journal are not legally binding and do not replace your Will or other legal documents. My Eternal Journal is meant to supplement your legal documents by providing loved ones with detailed instructions and final wishes (details not typically found in a Will).

Question: If I sign up, will my subscription be renewed each year?
Answer: Yes. Your subscription will be renewed automatically each year unless your membership is cancelled by you.

Question: Once I am a member, what do I do if I can’t remember my password?
Answer: If you forget your password, go to the subscriber sign in screen, type in your user name, click the “forgot your password?” and answer the security question(s) for your profile. Your password will be mailed to the email account used for your user name.

Question: Once I sign up and create my plan, how will I let my loved ones know that my plan exists?
Answer: Each Member should identify two administrators who can carry out his/her wishes upon the Member’s death. The Member grants appropriate access to these administrators (via the Manage Access for Family and Friends section of the Journal), notifies the administrators that he/she has done this, and either provides them with their user ID and password at that time or indicates where the user ID and password can be located in the event of the Member’s death.

Question: What if both administrators forget their User ID and password?
Answer: In the event that both administrators forget your user ID and password, they must correctly answer the question on your profile. If they cannot correctly answer the questions on your profile, they must fax a death certificate to My Eternal Journal, LLC. Once My Eternal Journal, LLC receives the death certificate, we will make an attempt to reach you. If we cannot reach you within 24 hours, then the user ID and password will be given to the person who submitted the death certificate to us.

Question: How can I be sure that the data I enter is secure?
Answer: Just like with any website, there can be security risks. We make reasonable precautions to manage the security of the information in the Site. Additionally, we ask that you do not include personal details on the website (such as social security number, account number, driver’s license, or other information at risk for data theft). Refer to Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement, and Policy Statement for more information.

Question: How frequently should I update My Eternal Journal?
Answer: Update your My Eternal Journal as often as you’d like or as you feel the need to update or create a message to a loved one or as your asset information changes.

Question: How long will My Eternal Journal be retained after my death?
Answer: The contents of your My Eternal Journal will be retained (even after your death) as long as your membership is kept current and renewed. Otherwise, the contents will be kept for 60 days (so long as your membership is paid for that period) and will be permanently deleted thereafter unless you purchase a maintenance plan with My Eternal Journal, LLC fifteen calendar days before the expiration of the subscription. To purchase a maintenance plan, contact us at .
