My Eternal Journal - what's it all about.

There is a great feeling that comes from getting organized, capturing memories, and preparing for the unexpected. My Eternal Journal was created with these primary purposes in mind:
  • To provide an avenue for loved ones to stay connected today and create a life link filled with memories, messages, and stories. The journaling aspect of the site allows one to capture memories, favorite recipes, stories, words of wisdom, and password protected, advance inspirational messages for the life event of a loved one (e.g., wedding day, 21st birthday).
  • To provide an outlet where those who have lost a loved one can journal their feelings or write a password protected message to that loved one. It has been proven that writing the words that one wished they could have expressed provides a certain level of peace to those who are grieving.
  • To provide an avenue for advance planning. The advance planning aspect of the site helps to remove the burden of decision making from loved ones during such an emotional time by allowing one to document who to notify, final wishes, provide information regarding assets and instructions for managing business affairs, and much more.

Why Should I subscribe to My Eternal Journal ?
Most of us possess the need to communicate and express ourselves. Polls have shown that one of the top resolutions for the New Year is for people to reconnect with family and friends. In today’s fast paced world, use My Eternal Journal to stay connected… access your journal 24/7 using the world wide web. Update your journal, create messages and stay in touch with loved ones.

Our lives can change in an instant. It doesn’t matter what religion you have or what your beliefs are, our mortality is certain. What if today was your last day? Are there things left unsaid or undone? Are there relationships that need to be mended? Think about it. Would there be something that you would wish you would have told your spouse? Are there things regarding your personal assets or business that you would need to instruct someone to take care of on your behalf? Most likely, the answer to at least one of these questions is “yes”.

When a loved one passes, photos, words spoken and written, and videos of that person become treasures. My Eternal Journal can provide a way for generations to stay connected by providing a link to those who have left this life; kind of like a doorway to your loved ones that can be accessed any time day or night, and from anywhere in the world via the internet.

What information would I include in my Journal?
My Eternal Journal provides members with convenient, online storage to:

  • Journal key events and stories to pass along to future generations.
  • Create messages and words of wisdom to your loved ones.
  • Create advance messages for a life event of a loved one. For example, you might want to write a special message for your child’s wedding day or 16th birthday or his/her wedding day. You can do this in advance through My Eternal Journal. Even though you may no longer be here for those events, you can be there in spirit through your written or recorded words.
  • Document names and contact information for who needs to be notified when you die.
  • Document information regarding your assets (including valuable artwork or antiques that might, otherwise, end up in a garage sale)
  • Provide instructions and other information about managing business details
  • Document final wishes regarding your funeral arrangements, including such things as:
    • The type of service you want
    • Whether you want to be buried or cremated
    • Where you want the service to be held
    • Where you want the reception to be held and whether you want it catered by your favorite restaurant.
You can also document:
  • Favorite family recipes which can be passed along for generations to come
  • Poems or songs you have written
  • Instructions for caring for your pet(s)
  • Your memoir or stories about your life that you would like passed along to your children and grandchildren
